Regina Raine first discovered a passion for live sound engineering while earning her Associates of Applied Science in Music Performance and Technology at Clackamas Community College. In fulfillment of this degree she was required to participate in a cooperative work experience which she chose to complete working with her live sound professor, Randy Sommers. His company, TechAudio, serves the greater Portland area with sound system instillations, event production services, as well as gear sales & rentals. After witnessing her work-ethic, he hired her for seasonal work during the following summer festival rush. Once she graduated from CCC in 2019, she also spent several months working behind the pro-audio counter at the local Guitar Center, familiarizing herself with the many brands and builds of audio gear.

In 2021, at the hight of the pandemic Regina reached out to a streaming company for an internship as part of her degree from the honors college at Portland State University. Left Door Streaming was happy to have her and knew many of her previous audio teachers from CCC. Before her internship was concluded they hired her to help set up and operate audio and video for live streamed music performances from various locations in Portland for the genres of Jazz, Funk, and R&B. Even before getting hired, Left Door Streaming had a partnership with The 1905, a local jazz club that was doing its best to keep jazz performance alive in 2020 and 2021 by hosting bi-weekly livestreams. Once restrictions lifted the partnership continued and Regina was hired through Left Door to run audio for in-person performances that occasionally double as livestreams.

In the time she has been working at The 1905, Regina Raine has worked with many jazz artists from the local and international scene, including Dayna Stephens, David Binney, Sasha Berliner, Ron Stein, Mel Brown, Tahira Memory, Vanessa Rubin, Taylor Eigsti, Ari Honeg, Gilad Hekselman, Tom Grant, Dan Balmer, Chris Potter, and Ben Wendel. Since the pandemic The 1905 has become a world renowned jazz club, and the only club in Oregon to provide live music seven nights a week. Outside of The 1905, Left Door Streaming continues to provide livestream production for local jazz festivals, R&B showcases, and other public events. Regina Raine plans to continue working with Left Door Streaming and to serve the local Portland music scene as both artist and engineer.
